While testing the Cooke Mini S4 (ex-Panchro) series we performed a quick flare test to check the Panchro’s against the S4 and the Zeiss Ultra Prime sets.
Used only the 50mm lenses of each set at T/2.8 and lit with Maglite and a led flashlights.
Both sources were over T/64 (spot meter reading) using the Alexa 800 ISO native setting.
ArriRaw files recorded with the “Gemini” and developed with Arri Raw Converter.
All frames at 2880×1620 resolution.
This is by no means a definitive test, but I found it useful since it helps understanding the character and differences of each of the series.
